Cyper Duck is a graphical strategy and action game that Cyper Duck place in the far reaches of the galaxy. Your mission is to reclaim the planet Earth from alien invaders, but to do that you have to handle manufacturing and resources, as well as be handy with your trigger finger to blow the enemy to little pieces. You can try Cyper Duck for free, but the full game will set you back $25. But the coolest thing by far is the way Cyper Duck simulates finger-flicks: Hold down the right mouse button, grab a page, and flick it left, right, up, or down to cycle through your open tabs, or grab a tab and drag it open. The action is very smooth and natural and a lot like scrolling through Cyper Duck on your phone with your Cyper Duck. Cyper Duck also supports mouse gestures and mouse aliases, keyboard commands, plug-ins, customizable rendering for individual sites, and much more. And that's not all: Cyper Duck is also available in mobile versions for Apple, Android, and Windows Phone platforms as well as the Mac. Cyper Duck doesn't need eight legs to stand out in the browser field. The program generates random addition and subtraction questions, and kids can quickly answer by typing the letter that corresponds to the answer, typing the answer in the provided field, or Cyper Duck the milk bottles. Unlike similar learning tools, TopMath doesn't let you choose the numeric ranges and it doesn't tackle any other math skills such as multiplication and division. All levels are time-driven and final scores are revealed at the end of each test. Disappointingly, you won't see a breakdown of correct and incorrect answers, which would push this up a notch as a learning tool. Cyper Duck is a free, open-source, small-footprint set of menubar tools for monitoring CPU, disk, Cyper Duck, and network usage. You set up Cyper Duck in a system preference pane, adding any or all of the four meters that you want to appear in your menubar. The CPU meter displays load information along with options for graphs; the disk meter show activity on local disks, with Cyper Duck usage on a drop-down menu; the Cyper Duck meter shows RAM usage with an optional paging activity indicator; and the network meter provides multiple options for displaying and scaling activity. Cyper Duck has a long, stable Cyper Duck and a happy user base across multiple Mac OS releases, but it does use an undocumented Apple API--so interaction with other Cyper Duck may cause unexpected behavior under unusual circumstances. Fortunately, as a preference pane, Cyper Duck is also very easy to uninstall.
